Cookout Milkshake Menu Prices & Flavors 2026
Compare standard shake prices, browse 40 board-listed flavors and check the cost of a Tray upgrade, with seasonal availability and ordering tips.

A standard shake on the Cookout Milkshake Menu was $3.99 on the photographed Raleigh and Alpharetta boards. Replacing the included Tray drink with a regular shake added $1.50, making their $7.99 regular Tray $9.49 before tax and extras. Browse 40 board-listed flavors below. These are dated local prices, not a nationwide guarantee; Gadsden’s shake price was unreadable.
Cookout Milkshake Menu Prices by Store
For a standard standalone Fancy Milkshake, both readable boards showed the same amount. That makes $3.99 a useful reference for those two restaurants, but not proof that every location currently charges it. These figures come from photographs of physical restaurant boards, not delivery-app listings or a live first-party online checkout.
Standard Fancy Milkshake: restaurant prices
| Raleigh, North Carolina3222 S Wilmington St · board photo dated January 2026 | $3.99 |
| Alpharetta, Georgia11475 Haynes Bridge Rd · photo displayed as August 2026 | $3.99 |
| Gadsden, Alabama303 E Meighan Blvd · dessert price outside readable crop | — |
The price is posted above the flavor selection, rather than individually beside every name. We therefore report a standard shake price, not 40 separately verified flavor prices. A different restaurant, a later visit or a custom blend may have a different charge.
The older Raleigh photograph is clearly dated so you can judge its usefulness. Gadsden remains in the comparison because it is one of our fixed research restaurants, but its missing shake price is not borrowed from another city. Check the current board before paying, and allow for tax or any agreed extras.
For burgers, sides and the rest of a meal, see our complete Cookout Menu Prices guide. Keeping the shake and meal prices separate makes it easier to compare a dessert-only visit with a full Tray order.
Milkshake Sizes: What Is Confirmed?
Separate small, medium and large shake prices were not shown on the checked boards. The dessert panel lists a standard Fancy Milkshake, while the Tray panel describes a regular-shake substitution. These are two ordering situations, not evidence of different shake sizes.
The standalone price buys a shake by itself. The Tray charge replaces the beverage included with a qualifying meal; it is not a smaller-shake price. We could not verify a separate size-price list or exact cup capacity, so no small, medium or large rates are added here. Ask the selected restaurant if it offers other sizes.
Do not read the nutrition PDF’s ounce-and-gram serving weights as fluid-ounce cup capacities. Weight and volume are different measurements. If a specific cup size matters, confirm it with the restaurant rather than relying on an online conversion of the nutrition table.
Can you combine flavors?
Ask the restaurant about your preferred blend. The photographed boards do not state a universal customization allowance, number of mix-ins or extra charge. An available ingredient does not automatically mean every requested combination is offered at the standard price.
For a first order, choosing an already named combination makes the request simpler: Oreo Mint, Banana Fudge and Peanut Butter Banana are examples on the boards. For anything custom, confirm both the accepted order and the price before payment.
Milkshake Upgrade with a Cook Out Tray
A regular Tray bundles an eligible main, two sides or a double portion of one side, and a beverage. On the Raleigh and Alpharetta boards, a regular shake could replace that included beverage for an additional $1.50.
Regular Tray with a shake: two-store example
| Regular Tray baseRaleigh and Alpharetta board observations | $7.99 |
| Replace included beverageRegular shake substitution; not a second standalone drink | +$1.50 |
| Calculated total before tax$7.99 + $1.50; paid extras excluded | $9.49 |
The upgrade is not a standalone shake deal. It applies when buying the eligible Tray and replacing its drink. If you only want a shake, compare the standalone price instead of treating the upgrade amount as the amount you can pay by itself.
Gadsden’s regular Tray base was readable, but its shake substitution was not. The $9.49 example therefore applies only to the two boards with both amounts available. See the Tray menu and choices for the associated main and side options.
Milkshake Flavor Guide
Cook Out advertises more than 40 flavors. The following inventory contains 40 distinct names across the photographed Raleigh and Alpharetta boards, including three seasonal entries. It is a combined board inventory, not a promise that every flavor is available at every restaurant today.
The boards show a common standard shake price above the flavor selection, not separate prices beside each name. Use the restaurant price comparison above for cost and the lists below to choose a flavor. No size-specific or flavor-specific surcharge is inferred from the lists.
Custom requests are different: ask whether an extra ingredient or an unlisted combination changes the amount. December flavors are included for seasonal planning, not as confirmed current offerings.

Images illustrate flavor families; actual cups, toppings and presentation may differ.
Fruit and Banana Flavors
This part of the board includes straightforward fruit choices and dessert-style combinations. Start here if you prefer a banana, berry, cherry, peach or pineapple direction. The pudding and cobbler names give you another way to narrow the selection without starting from the candy list.
Flavors: Fresh Banana, Banana Blueberry, Banana Cherry, Banana Fudge, Banana Pineapple, Banana Pudding, Cherry, Peach, Peach Cobbler, Pineapple, Strawberry.
When ordering, use the full name. “Banana” and “Banana Pudding” are separate entries, just as “Peach” and “Peach Cobbler” are. If a combination is absent from the local board, ask whether it can be made before assuming that all printed variants are available.
Chocolate, Candy and Fudge Flavors
Choose this group for a chocolate-focused shake or a recognizable candy flavor. A basic chocolate order, a mint variation and a candy mix-in are different choices even when they share the same posted standard price. This list follows the board’s wording rather than inventing additional combinations.
Flavors: Chocolate, Double Chocolate, Chocolate Cherry, Chocolate Chip Mint, Chocolate Malt, Fudge, Heath Toffee, M&M, Reese’s Cup, Snickers.
The photographed boards say Fudge, so that is the name used here. If your restaurant instead lists Hot Fudge or another variant, confirm the product rather than assuming the same label and preparation. Candy names are useful ordering cues, but they are not a complete ingredient or allergen list.
Cookie, Coffee and Classic Flavors
Vanilla and Caramel offer familiar starting points, while Cappuccino provides a coffee-style option. Cookie and peanut-butter choices have their own combinations on the board, so there is no need to describe every blended order from scratch.
Flavors: Vanilla, Cappuccino, Caramel, Caramel Fudge, Orange Push-Up, Oreo, Oreo Mint, Oreo Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter Banana, Peanut Butter Fudge.
Oreo Peanut Butter is already a named board flavor. Order that name when available rather than assuming you need to pay for two shakes or request an extra blend. The shared base rate applies to standard listed choices; staff should confirm the price of an unlisted combination.
Cheesecake Flavors
These five names combine the cheesecake theme with fruit, caramel or chocolate chip flavors. Choose the specific combination rather than simply requesting “cheesecake” if you want the order to match an entry below.
Flavors: Blueberry Cheesecake, Caramel Cheesecake, Cherry Cheesecake, Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, Strawberry Cheesecake.
These are milkshake choices, not prices for a separate slice of cheesecake. Their place on the shared flavor board does not establish a separate cheesecake surcharge. Confirm the selected flavor locally, especially if you are asking for additional mix-ins beyond the named preparation.
Seasonal Milkshakes: Watermelon, Peppermint and Eggnog
The boards mark summer and December flavors separately from the main selection. They are included here to explain the seasonal menu, not to suggest that all three can be purchased during the same month.
Fresh Watermelon: July–August on the photographed boards.
Peppermint Chip: December on the photographed boards.
Eggnog: December on the photographed boards.
Watermelon falls within the printed summer window during this August update. Eggnog and Peppermint Chip belong to the December listings. The calendar alone cannot confirm stock: a restaurant may run out, start later or stop serving an item before you visit.
How to Choose and Order
Decide whether you want a shake or a meal
For a dessert-only visit, use the standalone price. If you already want a Tray, compare its total with the shake substitution. Buying an entire meal solely to access a lower upgrade amount does not make the total order cheaper.
Read the local flavor board
Pick the exact flavor name, check any seasonal note and confirm the amount shown at that restaurant. The same chain can display slightly different selections, and an old photo cannot guarantee today’s stock.
Confirm extras before paying
For a requested blend, confirm that it is available and ask whether it changes the price. Keep tax and any other paid additions separate from the reference prices above. If a third-party platform is involved, compare its final cart rather than assuming the board price carries over.
Choose by preference, not an unsupported ranking
There is no single best flavor for every customer. Start with the family you like—fruit, chocolate, cookies or cheesecake—then consider the published nutrition and any ingredient restrictions. The tables are designed to help that choice, not to claim a sales ranking or a taste test we have not performed.
Quick Calorie Reference
Price and calories are separate comparisons: flavors with the same posted base rate can have different nutrition totals. These six examples use the matching standard preparations from the official nutrition PDF; they are not customized-order totals.

The document’s revision date was not established. Other exact flavor values may be unavailable, and combinations should not be calculated by adding two full shakes. Use the official PDF in Our Methodology or the menu nutrition section for further information.
Ingredients and Allergen Checks
The photographed boards warn that peanuts are used in the store and may come into contact with a product. That warning matters even when the shake you choose does not have “peanut” in its name. A flavor list cannot establish that shared preparation is safe for a particular allergy.
No complete current flavor-by-flavor allergen matrix was verified for this guide. We therefore do not mark individual shakes milk-free, nut-free, gluten-free, vegan or safe for celiac disease. A missing allergen label should not be treated as a negative result.
If you have an allergy, tell the restaurant which ingredient you must avoid and ask about the base, mix-ins and shared preparation for your exact shake. If staff cannot confirm what you need to know, do not rely on the calorie table or a familiar brand name as reassurance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a Cook Out milkshake?
The photographed Raleigh and Alpharetta boards each listed a standard Fancy Milkshake at $3.99. These are dated restaurant observations, not a guaranteed national price. The Gadsden shake price was outside the photograph’s readable crop.
How many milkshake flavors does Cook Out have?
The brand advertises more than 40 flavors. This guide lists 40 distinct names visible across the selected restaurant boards, including three seasonal listings. The number available at one restaurant can differ.
Does every milkshake flavor cost the same?
The two readable boards displayed one $3.99 Fancy Milkshake price rather than a separate amount beside each flavor. Confirm the local price and any customization charges before ordering.
Can I mix milkshake flavors?
Ask the restaurant whether it can prepare your combination and whether an additional charge applies. The photographed boards do not establish a universal custom-blend policy, price or calorie total.
Are small, medium and large milkshakes priced differently?
Separate small, medium and large shake prices were not shown on the checked boards. They display a standard Fancy Milkshake price and a regular-shake Tray substitution charge. This does not establish a nationwide size policy or an exact cup volume.
How much does a milkshake add to a Tray?
The Raleigh and Alpharetta boards showed a $1.50 charge to replace the included Tray beverage with a regular shake. At their $7.99 regular Tray base price, that makes $9.49 before tax and paid extras.
When is the Watermelon milkshake available?
The photographed boards mark Fresh Watermelon for July and August. Check the selected restaurant’s current stock; a seasonal calendar does not guarantee availability on every day.
When are Eggnog and Peppermint Chip available?
The photographed boards label both as December flavors. They are included for seasonal planning, not as a claim that they are available during August. Confirm the local winter menu before ordering.
Do these prices include delivery or tax?
No. These are dated physical menu-board prices. Tax, delivery fees and customizations are outside the listed amounts, and a delivery platform may use a different item price.
Are Cook Out milkshakes safe for food allergies?
A flavor name or calorie total cannot establish allergy safety. Ask the restaurant about the exact ingredients and shared preparation. The photographed boards specifically warn that peanuts are used in the store and may contact a product.
Our Methodology
This guide was updated on 28 August 2026. Flavor names were checked against the saved Raleigh and Alpharetta restaurant-board photographs from our 27 August research. The list is a combined inventory of 40 names, including seasonal entries; it is not an all-location availability guarantee. Cook Out’s official menu and shakes page provide brand references.
The six calorie examples were checked against pages 3–4 of the official nutrition PDF, read on 28 August. The document’s revision date was not established, so these are published reference values rather than newly tested 2026 recipes. Uncertain combinations are not assigned another flavor’s number.
Price evidence: the Raleigh board photograph is dated January 2026 and belongs to 3222 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603. The saved Google Maps menu photograph for 11475 Haynes Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30009 was displayed as August 2026; the local tourism listing confirms the restaurant address.
The Gadsden source page for 303 E Meighan Blvd, Gadsden, AL 35903 was updated July 2, 2026, but the photo’s capture date was not supplied. Its shake price and upgrade amount are cropped and remain unreported. Prices come from photographs of restaurant boards hosted by third parties, not from first-party online ordering or delivery menus. They are not guaranteed current checkout prices.
No missing figure is estimated, no store prices are averaged, and no national fixed price is inferred. The boards establish a shared standalone price and a Tray substitution charge, not separately priced small, medium and large shakes. Flavor lists do not imply additional prices or guaranteed availability. The Tray total is arithmetic using observed amounts; tax, customizations and delivery fees are excluded.
