Steak ’n Shake Beef Tallow Fries cost $2.29 (small), $2.99 (medium) or $3.89 (large). Tots are $2.59–$4.19, onion rings are $3.49–$4.99, and loaded chili cheese fries are $5.29–$6.59.
A cup of chili is $3.49, Chili Mac is $5.99 and the Chili 5-Way is $7.49. Prices were the same at all three stores we checked.
Beef Tallow Fries, Tots & Onion Rings
Steak ’n Shake says its fries, tots, onion rings and chicken tenders are cooked in 100% beef tallow with no additives or preservatives. It also worked with its supplier to remove the vegetable oil once used to par-fry the fries and tots, so the Beef Tallow Fries and Tots are now free of seed oils.
